An office fruit delivery could be a great way of developing healthy eating habits, which a commentator has suggested should be continued while on holiday.
Writing for the Globe and Mail, Leslie Beck suggested it is important to avoid temptation in the restaurants of vacation accommodation.
"If you are in a hotel that serves a continental breakfast, stick with fresh fruit, yogurt and toast or cereal, milk and fruit," she commented.
A morning meal to avoid could be the "lumberjack" option of pancakes, eggs and bacon, which can contain a full day’s worth of fat and high levels of salt, Ms Beck advised.
Other foods the column noted need to be resisted include muffins, croissants and pancakes.
Fruit could also be useful for road trips, as could hummus, yoghurts and raw vegetables, Ms Beck concluded.
Her comments follow an article published on the Health News Digest website recently, which recommended consuming strawberries, watermelons and tomatoes during a holiday.
